New IELTS Exam Fees changes in September 2025
The IELTS exam fee update is now in effect across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. As of September 1, 2025, test takers are required to pay the revised IELTS exam fees in the UAE.
These changes include the addition of (2) two new IELTS test fees,
- IELTS paper based exam fees (On Paper)
- IELTS One Skill Retake fees (OSR)

The adjustment enables IDP IELTS UAE to maintain high quality test delivery, improved support, and a seamless exam day experience for candidates.

With these updated fees already in effect, students planning to study, migrate, or work abroad are encouraged to secure their IELTS test dates early, as sessions for the coming months are open for booking.
Note – The revised fees include 5% VAT in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.

- IELTS Academic – Paper Based Exam
- IELTS General Training – Paper Based Exam
No changes are being made to,
- IELTS Computer Based Exam Fees (remains the same)
- IELTS UKVI Exam Fees (remains the same)
- IELTS Life Skills Exam Fees (remains the same)
So, if your IELTS test is scheduled after September 1, 2025, the updated IELTS exam fee in UAE applies. But if your test date is before September 1, 2025, these fee changes will not affect you.
